About our workshops
To compliment our aims the Flax Project runs a nature & creativity based workshop programme. We have a permanent studio in Stonehouse, Plymouth, where regular classes take place in flax crafts and natural dyeing, we also get out into the community.
The education programme enables us to spread the word about what goes in to, and why we should value, textiles. It creates a community based around nature & creativity. It provides a space for people to come together, improving mental health, combatting isolation & loneliness. It provides opportunities for people to learn a skill that they may want to take further into employment, self-employment or education.
Below is a list of some of the workshops we run. All of these are open to the general public and will take place at our space in The Plot, 80-84 Union St, Stonehouse, Plymouth PL1 3EZ.
Most of these workshops can be taken out about and set up in different locations.
